| | 18 | <![CDATA[If you're experiencing problems using Google Maps tiles with Modest Maps, you're not the only one. Google have added some strange new parameters to the tile URLs, in what we assume is an attempt to prevent our sort of unauthorized tile use. Keeping up with Google Maps has always been an issue for Modest Maps, but this is one hurdle that we don't believe it's worth jumping. <a href="http://getsatisfaction.com/modestmaps/topics/were_error_were_sorry_but_your_query_looks_similar_to_automated_requests_from_a_computer_virus_or_spyware_application#top_reply_194111">Tom posted an explanation to our forum</a>, in response to concerns from users. Although we're dissappointed, we have always liked the appearance and <i>reliability</i> of Microsoft's tiles more and use them for our <a href="http://stamen.com">Stamen</a> projects where possible.
